The early church grew rapidly according to Acts 2. These clusters of believers met in homes. Hospitality was the gift that set the agenda for God's love and grace to permeate visitor's hearts. Around a beverage and food people are accepted and Christ's love is experienced. Many churches today are rediscovering this gift... and in the church building. By incorporating a coffee bar into the foyer and greeting everyone who desires to join in a great cup of coffee (no Folgers here please) in a great paper cup (no styrofoam either) churches can extend this gift, though not in a house.
Here's how Hemisphere Coffee Roasters works:
1. The church should select an individual who works close with this ministry.
2. HCR works with this individual developing a blend or selecting single origin that will be served.
3. Brewing technique, grinding option, and serving process will be discussed together.
4. Church is put on a 30 day billing and coffee is shipped.
5. Coffee is shipped in 5-pound resealable bags.
6. Single origin coffee and blends are $7.00 per pound for churches.
7. HCR provides signage promoting the missional thrust of the coffee your church serves.
