Hemisphere Coffee Roasters (HCR) was founded in 2002 with a vision to make a difference in coffee growing communities. 

When you purchase coffee form Hemisphere Coffee Roasters, you are investing in the lives of coffee growers, their workers, their families and communities. This coffee benefits the Kingdom of God around the world. HCR has developed deep relationships with coffee farmers in East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central America. We are buying their highest-grade coffee, paying them premium prices in return. This is truly Fair Trade.

We call it Direct-Trade Coffee.

Direct-Trade coffee is based on an open, honest relationship of trust between the grower and the roaster. Farmers share with us the cost involved in producing and transporting these coffees. We in turn pay fair prices where the whole supply chain can benefit We have visited these farmers, and have a deep respect for one an other. This is not a hand out or charity, but simply good business. 

Our roasting facility is located in beautiful downtown Mechanicsburg, 275 East Sandusky St. We roast in small batches of 33 pounds each on a Sivetz hot air, fluid bed roaster. This technology produces smooth, clean tasting accurately roasted coffee batch after batch. We roast to order and ship in 2-3 days. All coffee is packaged in heavy foil lined bags equipped with resealable zippers and a one-way valve to preserve freshness. For several days after coffee is roasted it produces carbon dioxide wherein all the aroma and freshness reside. This special air tight bag enables you to place your coffee in the freezer, which stops the degassing and aging process of your fresh-roasted coffee. You can open the bag, take out what you need and return it to the freezer. Or you can order smaller amounts and let us ship more often.
